The blade is constructed of premium S30V stainless steel and finished with a smoked gray Cerakote® finish to blend into any environment. S30V steel is exceptionally hard (58-60 HRC), and takes on a remarkably sharp edge; S30V also resists wear and chipping, though it is generally easier to sharpen than other premium steels in its class. Dual thumb studs allow quick, 1-hand opening; and an Axis® locking mechanism ensures the blade won't fold up during rugged use. Textured, Grivory grip panels on the Ranger-green handle provide a high level of strength and stability as well as an excellent hold. The Bugout folding knife comes with a reversible, tip-up pocket clip and an oversized lanyard hole.
